St. Joseph's College pairs your future with your ability.Intimate classes, hands-on learning, professors with real career expertise — this is what you'll need to get ahead. At SJC Brooklyn and SJC Long Island, we bring leaders as far as they're willing to go.
St. Joseph's College will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016?
Hospitality and Tourism Management
SJC's professors are people directly involved within the industry and give you real life contacts. The school also had this amazing opportunity in this new and upcoming field: Healthcare Hospitality.
Sociology and Criminal Justice
It is so easy to get involved at SJC and make the most out of your college experience. In my spare time I volunteer at the New York City Coalition Against Hunger and am currently interning with the mayor's office to combat domestic violence as an outreach intern.
I knew 10 minutes into my Open House tour that St. Joseph’s was for me. SJC showed me that college isn’t a factory that takes high-schoolers in and chugs graduates out. It’s a community where people know who you are. I recently enrolled in Emory University’s doctoral program in biomolecular chemistry, so I’ll be moving to Atlanta at the end of the summer and getting ready for research and more learning.
Journalism and New Media Studies
Born and raised in Korea, Rebecca joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany before moving to Brooklyn to attend St. Joseph's. An avid writer, she joined the Journalism and New Media Studies program, and plans to attend The Columbia School of Journalism after graduation.
Between my studies at SJC and my active volunteerism I know that the future holds a career for me in public service. I want to follow in the footsteps of my grandfather, who was the chief of police in my hometown.
Psychology and Sociology
I attended SJC because it gave me the best bang for my buck. I am graduating debt free, which is a rarity in this day. Most importantly, SJC has encouraged my call for social justice. The classes I take remind me of the world I am inheriting — I know that the skills I have attained here will help me change the world.
