The Long Island Campus' Academic Development Committee advises and guides students who have not met the academic standards of the College.
Functions

to consult with major department chairs prior to the meeting regarding students who have not met academic requirements

to provide such students with faculty counselors

to recommend changes in programs where advisable

to establish minimum criteria for continued matriculation

to recommend to the academic dean the withdrawal of students who fail to meet the minimum standards of the College

to acknowledge students who have met previous Academic Development Committee recommendations
-
to communicate (in writing) the decision of the committee to students, department chairs and appropriate administrative offices

twelve to 16 faculty members appointed by the dean from volunteers
