The B.S. in Computer Information Technology is for students interested in applying computer knowledge to a business venture. Infrastructure and system development and its use to acquire, deploy and manage information are studied. The program places less emphasis on both the theoretical and mathematical aspects of computer science and focuses more on applications in a commercial environment. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions and for graduate-level study.
The program is in full compliance with the Association of Computing Machinery recommendations for undergraduate information systems studies and its curriculum includes a variety of elective courses. Internships are available to students in their senior year.
