Chemistry

A St. Joseph’s College chemistry degree is the perfect first step for students pursuing careers in science-related fields. Our graduates work at top companies and pursue graduate studies in the sciences, medicine and other health-related professions.

St. Joseph’s chemistry students carry out independent research in several areas, including organic chemistry, biochemistry and physical chemistry in our renovated laboratory facilities. Our chemistry program, which is offered as both a major and minor in Brooklyn and a minor on Long Island, is characterized by small classes, individual mentoring and academic excellence. Our students develop an appreciation for the molecular aspects of biology and physics through the study of chemistry.

Chemistry majors can combine their degree with concentrations in biochemistry, business or adolescence education.
