Hospitality and Tourism Management Concentrations

Students in the hospitality and tourism management major may choose to have a concentration in tourism, hotel management or health care hospitality. Students must complete the required courses for their respective area of concentration as follows:

The tourism concentration emphasizes sustainability, such as food-to-table, agri-tourism, and eco-tourism. Students will be introduced to the myriad of industries and unique planning, communication and management skills relative to this area of study.

health care Hospitality
The concentration in health care hospitality focuses on how individuals experience care in hospital and community-based clinical environments, such as assisted living, long term care facilities and rehabilitation centers. A strong emphasis will be placed on customer service, communication and leadership skills.
