The School of Professional and Graduate Studies offers continuing professional education for adult learners in various ways.
Combining the expertise of a professional staff and the resources of St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn Campus, the Small Business Development Outreach Counseling Center provides high quality one-on-one business management, consulting, information and education programs that build the capacities of firms to compete in the domestic and international markets.
One program offered either in class or through distance learning options is the professional human resource management certificate program in cooperation with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This course benefits not only human resources managers and staff members, but is great training for employees new to the human resources field and those seeking career changes. The program also prepares those who have two years of experience to sit for the national certification exams.
Our Long Island Campus' Human Resources Forum is in its seventh year of monthly breakfast seminars on important topics in the management of human resources. Beneficial to all managers and supervisors, the forum allows for discussion and networking on innovative approaches to the challenges of management. Participation is also approved for recertification hours toward Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credentialing.
In collaboration with CISCO, St. Joseph's College offers courses to prepare students for the CISCO exams and CCNA certification. Visit SJC's CISCO program page for more information, including the upcoming schedule.
Especially for Children and Young People is an exciting array of courses in math discovery, Spanish, computer, kindergarten skills, study skills, creative expression and art that stimulates curiosity and broadens the student’s awareness of the world.
