St. Joseph’s College offers a certificate in applied sociology at the Long Island Campus, where students learn how to apply social science theories and research methods to organizational needs and issues and eventually to policy and planning decisions. Students are exposed to occupational positions in formal organizations in which business and social policies are formed and implemented. This 27-credit certificate program includes 18 required sociology credits, a 3-credit approved field experience and 6 credits in sociology electives.
