ELL Summer Institute

In addition to reading and writing workshops, academic support and cultural opportunities for college English Language Learners, the St. Joseph’s College ACES program now offers a new Summer Institute for high school ELL juniors and sophomores looking to begin their college studies.

With 11 individual class sessions, the institute features a reading and writing workshop and a daily college lecture chosen from art, biology, chemistry, history, mathematics, philosophy, psychology or sociology. A special presentation on the college selection process and financial aid is also included in the program.

Participants can earn 1-college credit, and will take two field trips — one to a museum and another to a Broadway show. You’ll also have the opportunity to network with current St. Joseph’s College students and alumni, and to use our library and other facilities.
