As the only degree of its kind offered on Long Island, the M.A. in Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Special Education furthers St. Joseph’s College’s stance of hosting premier education programs. The 36-credit degree, which is one of our master’s degrees in education, suits teachers desiring to advance their work with infants, toddlers and children with special developmental delays.
Our program emphasizes the interrelated development of knowledge, understanding, sensitivity and skills, which results in more effective teaching and learning. It also presents solutions to the challenges teachers face in early intervention and special education by focusing on the most advanced theories and methods.
