As part of the core curriculum, the Department of Physical Sciences offers courses that provide a basic understanding of the nature of matter, the physical universe and its impact on society.
Physics
The Key Concepts in Physics (PHY 130) course is offered at the Long Island Campus and fulfills the laboratory science requirement. Additional physics courses are offered as a science concentration for child study majors.
Earth Science
Earth science courses are only offered at the Long Island Campus through the Department of Physical Sciences.
