Psi Chi Honor Society

Psi Chi, the national psychology honor society, is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. St. Joseph’s is among more than 800 college and university chapters.

Once elected, students are members for life. To become a member, students must be psychology majors, minors or concentrates and must have completed at least three semesters and 9 credits in psychology. Students must have an 3.5 overall GPA.

Congratulations to the following students who were recently inducted:

  • Francesca Buttitta, a child study major with a concentration in psychology who is interested in pursuing graduate studies in school psychology and volunteers at a home for children.

  • Melissa Byrne, a psychology major who wants to pursue a career in clinical or counseling psychology.

  • Liliet Chang, a psychology major who is planning to go to graduate school to study school or clinical psychology. Ms. Chang has completed an internship and works as a direct care counselor for children who are autistic.

  • Nicole Harris, a child study major with a concentration in psychology that wants to pursue a career in teaching.

  • Blerta Shtino, a psychology major who plans to move on to graduate school and a career in psychology.
