Psychology Internships

Junior and senior psychology majors may enroll in PSY 400 Internship in Psychology, which involves an 80-hour field placement in a clinical setting or other site involving applied psychology. Students receive on-site supervision as well as oversight by a mentor from our full-time faculty.

Among the agencies/institutions where our students serve as interns are:

  • Clubhouse of Suffolk

  • Child Protective Services

  • Developmental Disabilities Institute

  • Hope House

  • Madonna Heights residence

  • Pox Christi Homeless Shelter

  • Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center

  • Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBS)

  • Various public schools
