St. Joseph's College offers adult learners and professionals the chance to earn their degree in our School of Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS). In many cases the entire admission, advisement and registration process can be completed during one visit to St. Joseph's. Applicants must bring the following:
Evidence of a high school diploma or its equivalent (it is sufficient to provide evidence of completion of another educational program where the high school diploma or its equivalent was required; for example, a nursing diploma, a community college transcript or a professional license). Please bring a photocopy of this evidence to be left at the office.
A photocopy of the transcript from a United States college-level English composition course should be submitted.
A $25 nonrefundable application fee is required.
Those who wish to register will make a nonrefundable tuition deposit at the time of registration. Full-time students (12 or more credits) pay $250; part-time pay $80. These amounts include a $5 ID card fee.
New York State law requires college students born on or after January 1, 1957 to be immunized against measles, mumps and rubella. Consult the admissions counselor for details.
Permanent resident or international students please note that you must bring your alien registration card. International students please see the International Student Admissions section of our website.
Applicants submitting transcripts from foreign institutions may be required to submit educational documents to a St. Joseph's College-approved foreign credential evaluation service for a course-by-course report. Applicants deal directly with the foreign credential evaluation service and are responsible for following the procedures of the service and payment of all fees charged for that service.
The applicant may also be required to submit a word-for-word English translation of credentials by a College-approved translation service at the applicant's expense.
