St. Joseph’s College hosts professional development workshops each year and encourages counseling staff to schedule a campus visit to tour the campus and learn about our admissions procedures.
Annual Counselor Workshop
Each year St. Joseph’s College invites a guest speaker to highlight a particular topic of interest to school counselors. This event is a free professional development opportunity and includes lunch and time for networking with colleagues. Previous topics have included teen drug abuse, suicide prevention and cyberbullying. The event is usually held in December and the date is announced in the fall.
Annual College Board Fall Counselor Workshop
The Long Island Campus hosts this professional development workshop in the fall for interested school counselors. Details and registration information will be posted when the date is announced.
Staff Field Trips to SJC
Any counseling staff that is interested in learning more about the College, reviewing our admissions process or touring our campus, is encouraged to schedule a private staff visit. Please contact us and we will happy to host you for a morning or afternoon visit.
Bus Tours for Students
Counselors may schedule bus tours for up to 40 students to visit our campus. The day will feature a tour with our student staff, a presentation by an admissions counselor about SJC and a luncheon. You may contact us to schedule a tour that fits your schedule.
Schedule an On-site Visit
Our counselors will gladly come to your high school to conduct on-site admissions events for your students. The application fee is waived and admissions decisions and scholarship possibilities are discussed. Click here for more information on scheduling an on-site event.
