"Living the Essence of Yoga" with Yogi Prakash

Do you want to know how yoga and meditation can help everyone, especially children? Then join us for this special event!
The Counseling and Wellness Center, along with the child study and religious studies departments, Campus Ministry and
Office of Multicultural Student Life are honored to present:

“LIVING THE ESSENCE OF YOGA” With Yogi Prakash from Kathmandu, Nepal

AND

“MINDFULNESS AND CHILDREN” With Carin Winter, CEO of Mission Be

The evening will include periods of lecture, brief meditations and a question and answer session. Refreshments will be provided!

Yogi Prakash, a respected community leader and teacher from Nepal, will be visiting our campus during his very first trip to the United States. He is the founder of The Lotus Project, a school in Nepal that exposes children to the wonders of yoga and meditation from a very early age.

Carin Winter is a school social worker and the owner of Embrace Yoga Studio. She is the founder and CEO of Mission Be, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to teaching children on Long Island the benefits of mindfulness meditation.

This event is by donation. Please feel free to make a contribution after the event. All proceeds go to Lotus Project Nepal and Mission Be. For more information, email liwellness@sjcny.edu
