Water Safety Instructor Course

Get your certification as a water safety instructor at this American Red Cross course at St. Joseph's College. The course runs from February through May — just in time for summer!

Swim test: February 13, 7:15 p.m.
Classes: February 27 to May 15
7:15 p.m. to 10 p.m.
No class: March 27
Instructor: Jen Champagne

Fee: $255 (SJC students: $125)
Fee includes handbooks and certifications

Required February 13 swim test includes:

• Must be at least 16 years of age on or before May 15, 2013
• 25-yard swim of front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and slidestroke
• 15-yards of butterfly
• Back float in deep water for one minute
• Tread water for one minute
