Muslim Student Association

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) is a club that highly values interfaith relations, spirituality and religiosity, and the notion of coexistence. The students in this club highly value building bridges between people of different faiths. It is extremely critical that we, in this day and age, come to terms with understanding that people of different cultures and different faiths are not only Arabs, Chinese or Bosnians, but they are Americans as well.

The MSA recognizes that fact, and we welcome people of all faiths to join in promoting spirituality along with coexistence. Beyond coordinating a number of successful events, we have collaborated with the faculty and deans in addressing critical issues. Because of this, we share great ties with not just the students of SJC, but the entire College community.

Conclusively, we are here to condemn stereotypes and taboos of the religion of Islam. We are here to promote justice and equality. We have formed the MSA to enjoin in what is good (peace and tolerance) and forbid what is evil (terrorism and bullying). We are not here to disrespect or mock people of other faiths, but to be tolerant of others.
