Step Squad

breakin' silence

Breakin’ Silence is a student club that choreographs and performs step routines. Stepping is a form of rhythmic dance in which the participant's entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex beats and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word and hand claps. This club is open to all newcomers that are eager to learn. No dance experience is necessary, however we encourage all members to make a commitment to the squad. We promote our club, St. Joseph’s College and our charity organization (the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America) through the routines that we perform. It takes an equal effort from all of our members to reach the goals we set for the club. Practices are held Monday evenings from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. on campus.
