Department chairperson of community health and human services since 2005, Carolyn Gallogly has worked at St. Joseph's College for almost 30 years.
Dr. Gallogly serves as editor of Prime Lines, the newsletter of Gerontology Professionals of Long Island, an organization of which she is a founding member. She is also a committee member of Accessible Long Island Project and board member and acting chair of the Suffolk County Senior Citizens Advisory Board. Dr. Gallogly is also professionally involved with the Gerontological Society of America and the American Society of Aging.
Dr. Gallogly earned her doctorate from the School of Social Welfare at Stony Brook University in 2008, where she specialized in gerontological research.
