Of Counsel at Rivkin Radler LLP and a managing member of Hidden Assets, LLC, a boutique financial management and consulting firm specializing in the enhancement of cash flow, Charles J. Pendola has worked for a number of years in leadership positions and as a practicing attorney in Health Administration.
Founder, President and CEO of Preferred Health Network, the first multi-hospital (five) system in Metro NY from 1989-1996, he served as president of the First Medical Corporation from 1996-1997 and DLJ Managed Plans Corporation from 2000-2001. Professor Pendola also held the positions of executive vice president and senior vice president at MultiPlan, Inc. and Black Mountain Management, respectively.
Professor Pendola has received numerous honors throughout his career, including the Founders Medal of Honor from the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 1987 and the Special Recognition Award from St. John’s University in 1991. His professional affiliations include membership with the American Bar Association, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Bureau of Certified Consultants, among others.
Professor Pendola has written over 60 technical articles, which have been published in a variety of professional journals. He also authored the book, Hospital Budgeting: A Case Study Approach (Exposition Press, 1976).
