Associate chair of health administration at St. Joseph’s College, John Sardelis teaches courses on topics such as health care finance and reimbursement, managed care and legal aspects of health care.
Prior to joining the St. Joseph’s College faculty, Dr. Sardelis was president of Jason Consulting for nine years, where he served as a management and technology consultant to insurance and health care clients.
Dr. Sardelis is an active member of several organizations such as the Associate of the Society of Actuaries, the Academy of Actuaries, Speakers Bureau for Medicare Rights Center, American Public Health Association, Healthcare Finance and Management Association and the St. Joseph’s Health Care Advisory Council. He serves on several health-related boards including IPRO, Affinity Health Plan and TriCare.
He is also founder of the St. Joseph’s College Healthcare Center for Outreach Research and Education, a program created to assist Long Islanders in addressing health disparities by providing speakers on topical health issues and information on public programs.
