Health Professions Committee

The Health Professions Committee assists students in deciding their suitability for the study of medicine, dentistry or other health-related professions. The committee also prepares recommendations for those who qualify and apply for admission to professional schools.

Membership (Brooklyn and Long Island, respectively):
  • three faculty members appointed by the academic dean from among volunteers
    • ex-officio:
      • chairpersons of the Departments of Biology, Physical Sciences and Mathematics

      • consultant: director of counseling

  • Chair is from biology, physical sciences or mathematics department and serves for a minimum of two years, maximum of three years.

Term: three years
