Description of Presentation: In the 1970s NYC witnessed a crime wave, economic crisis and a general malaise. Yet, within the these conditions of burnout and fear, a new creative economy was being born. This presentation will discuss the rise of the creative economy of music, art, culture that helped revitalize the Big Apple.
