PATCHOGUE, NY - SEPTEMBER 17, 2012 - St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its recently rebranded alumni magazine, SJCNY , to a more easily accessible, interactive online platform. The College will continue to print its traditional magazine, but now offers a digital counterpart to provide more features and information to the SJC community.
Launching alongside the printed fall 2012 issue, SJCNY allows readers to learn about SJC happenings on and off campus with added features such as videos, audio clips, slideshows and more, offering a new and unique way to connect with the College.
“Readers now have the opportunity to see more, read more, watch more and hear more with the launch of SJCNY,” said Kas Carey, assistant vice president for print and digital communications. “The printed magazine will continue to arrive on our alumni’s doorsteps as well; the masthead may be new, but the award-winning stories will still be there, along with plenty of new ways to connect with the College.”
SJCNY invites guests to flip through previous issues of the College magazine in its Print Editions archive, watch multimedia coverage of recent campus events and stories in the SJC Media section, and navigate previous classmates’ accomplishments in Class Notes. The site will be updated regularly to include new alumni profiles, photo galleries and feature stories as well.
“At SJC, the Office of Print and Digital Communications is constantly seeking new ways to communicate more effectively and creatively,” said Ms. Carey. “SJCNY is our College magazine’s next step; it’s our latest tool to help our community stay on track with frequent updates for students and alumni, highlights of members of the SJC family and as much as we can fit in between — all facilitated by our talented staff of designers and writers.”
SJCNY is the official alumni magazine of St. Joseph’s College. The print edition is published twice a year and mailed to more than 32,000 alumni and friends of SJC free of charge.
