L.I. Campus Announces Fall 2012 Enrichment Program For Children

PATCHOGUE, NY – SEPTEMBER 25, 2012 – St. Joseph’s College, noted for its academic excellence, has announced its 59th program offering of Especially for Children and Young People. The fall 2012 program, which will be held at the Long Island Campus of St. Joseph’s College on Saturday mornings from October 20 – December 8, will be offered to students in grades K-7. Since class size is limited, early registration is suggested.

“For over 19 years, thousands of children have attended and benefited from the Especially for Children and Young People Program at St. Joseph’s College,” said Linda Higgins, program coordinator. “They have taken advantage of the math/reading assistance courses as well as the varied enrichment courses taught by New York State certified teachers on Saturday mornings.”

An exciting array of courses in math discovery, art, computer, kindergarten skills, study skills, Spanish and creative writing have been designed to stimulate curiosity and broaden the student’s awareness of the world in which we live. In addition, courses in supplemental math and reading will be available to provide reinforcement of the skills learned during the school year. A swim program will run in conjunction with the assistant/enrichment classes.

All courses are taught by New York State certified teachers in a caring environment, with a specific focus on the child.
