SJC To Hold Three Mini Fall Open Houses On Its LI Campus

PATCHOGUE, NY – November 15, 2012 – In response to Hurricane Sandy, St. Joseph’s College (SJC) has changed the schedule and format of its Long Island Campus 2012 fall Open House. To make attending more convenient, the College will offer several options for the fall semester.

SJC will host three Mini Open Houses for high school and transfer students on the following dates:

     •    Saturday, November 17 — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
     •    Saturday, December 1 — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
     •    Wednesday, December 12 — 6: 30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“While we did have a major Open House originally scheduled, our first priority was to the community and to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy,” said Gigi Lamens, associate vice president for enrollment management. “In the end, we decided to cancel the previously rescheduled event to accommodate a Red Cross Shelter on our Long Island Campus and host three Mini Open Houses that would be equally informative and productive, as well as more intimate with faculty, students and staff.”

Prospective students and their families are invited to tour SJC’s beautiful lakeside Long Island Campus featuring outstanding facilities. Guests are also invited to meet with faculty, financial aid advisors and admissions representatives to talk about academics, student services and campus life, as well as discuss the application process, scholarships, grants and loans.

For more information or to schedule an appointment and tour SJC’s Long Island Campus, visit www.sjcny.edu/visitsjcli or call the Office of Admissions at 631.687.4500. SJC is accessible via the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just east of Exit 52 (Waverly Avenue).
