SJC Soccer Coach Featured in Soccer Long Island Magazine

PATCHOGUE, NY – JANUARY 15, 2013 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that Tim Trava ’04, head coach of the men’s soccer team, was recently interviewed by Soccer Long Island Magazine.

After eight years as an assistant coach, Mr. Trava took over the men’s soccer team last year after legendary coach Gary Smith retired. In his first year as head coach, Mr. Trava led the team to a Skyline Championship.

“I was blessed with a great group of kids that had one goal in mind and that was to win a Skyline Championship,” said Mr. Trava. “To win in my first season is something I will never forget. It was an incredible experience.”

The interview, featured in Long Island’s only soccer publication that delivers the best coverage of soccer on Long Island and abroad, discusses the soccer team’s recent season, as well as soccer on Long Island.
