SJC Announces Fall 2013 Program for Children

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – SEPTEMBER 16, 2013 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC), noted for its academic excellence, has announced its 61st program offering of Especially for Children and Young People. The fall 2013 program, which will be held on the Long Island Campus of SJC on Saturday mornings from October 19 – December 7, will be offered to students in grades K-7. Since class size is limited, early registration is suggested.

“This fall, we are proudly offering our 61st program for local children,” said Linda Higgins, program coordinator. “The Especially for Children and Young People Program at St. Joseph’s College allows children to take advantage of courses that assist them with math and reading, as well as the varied enrichment courses taught by New York State certified teachers each Saturday morning.”

An exciting array of courses in math discovery, art, computer, kindergarten skills, study skills, Spanish and creative writing, have been designed to stimulate curiosity and broaden the student’s awareness of the world in which we live. In addition, courses in supplemental math and reading will be available to provide reinforcement of the skills learned during the school year. A swim program will run in conjunction with the assistant/enrichment classes.

All courses are taught by New York State certified teachers in a caring environment, with a specific focus on the child.

For further information, contact Program Coordinator Linda Higgins at 631.687.1243. Registration may be by mail or in person. SJC is located at 155 W. Roe Blvd. in Patchogue, and is accessible via the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just east of Exit 52 (Waverly Avenue).
