Clare Rose Playhouse Presents "The Lyons"

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – October 9, 2013 – The Clare Rose Playhouse, a community theater located on the Long Island Campus of St. Joseph’s College, will continue its 2013-14 season with The Lyons, a play by Nicky Silver which has been deemed “deliciously dark and hilarious.” The show will run from November 1-17.

The Lyons is a play in which its viewers can, upon taking a closer look, find an intimate reflection of their own frightened selves. The setting of the play seeks to portray a comedic, furious tale of the true dysfunctions of the everyday family through the satiric writing of Silver, which is sure to be loved for its relatable honesty.

Individual tickets for this show are priced at $15; $12 for students and seniors. Show times are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; 3p.m. on Sundays. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the box office at 631.654.0199.

The Clare Rose Playhouse, which serves as a major teaching facility for the College’s theater courses, is accessible via the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just east of Exit 52 (Waverly Avenue) in Patchogue, on the northeast corner of the campus of St. Joseph’s College.
