SJC's Council for the Arts Presents Flamenco Viva II

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – November 27, 2013 – The St. Joseph’s College (SJC) Council for the Arts is pleased to announce that, for the sixth consecutive year, acclaimed dance group Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana will perform at the College’s Brooklyn Campus. The performance, Navidad Flamenca, will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium, St. Joseph’s College, 245 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn.

For this performance, Flamenco Viva will explore the celebration of Christmas in Latin America. This free community performance thrills audiences with the rich holiday customs of the Spanish-speaking world from Argentina and Mexico to Colombia, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Through music, carols and dance, Navidad Flamenca highlights traditions all united by a single language and reflects the influences of the Spanish culture throughout the Americas.

Founded by President S. Elizabeth A. Hill, C.S.J., J.D., the St. Joseph’s College Council for the Arts is a coalition of students, faculty members and staff who serve as a focal point for St. Joseph’s College’s educational and community outreach programming in the arts.
