The Clare Rose Playhouse Presents a Christmas Musical for Kids

PATCHOGUE, NY – November 13, 2009 – The Clare Rose Playhouse, a community theater located on the Long Island Campus of St. Joseph’s College, will continue its 2009-10 season with A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Musical, a family favorite by A.A. Milne. The show will run December 5 and 6, 2009.

 

This festive story by A.A. Milne is set to the music of James W. Rodgers and features Winnie-the-Pooh and friends helping their pal Eeyore have a very merry Christmas. Milne’s humor and special consideration of children make this play a must for the holiday season. The show is appropriate for children of all ages, and audience participation is encouraged.

All tickets for this show are priced at $6. Show times are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information, please call the box office at 631.654.0199.

The Clare Rose Playhouse, which serves as a major teaching facility for the College’s theater courses, is accessible via the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just east of Exit 52 (Waverly Avenue) in Patchogue, on the northeast corner of the campus of St. Joseph’s College. A former cottage converted in 1985 through the generosity and guidance of the man for whom it is named, the Playhouse serves as a major teaching facility for the College’s theater courses and a training ground for young actors. The Playhouse is the site of community theater productions of musicals, dramas, comedies, cabaret acts, musical performances, dance troupes and comedians.
