The Department of Graduate Management Studies at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that it will present its annual Graduate Seminar Presentations on Saturday, May 10 at 9 a.m. in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium located on the College’s Brooklyn Campus.
A dozen SJC master’s candidates will present the findings of their semester-long research projects on topics as diverse as quality and delivery standards in healthcare, communication challenges among employees of different generations, employee satisfaction issues and how they link to productivity in the workplace.
“The seminar course in organizational management provides our students with a unique opportunity to research and address some of the most urgent and pressing issues in today’s workplace,” said Dr. Sharon Didier, assistant chair and co-director of graduate management studies in the Department of Organizational Management at SJC. “With the completion of these projects, SJC students gain valuable real-world experience in both assessing the challenges encountered in their respective fields and generating the clear, actionable solutions that are expected of them once they reach the upper-ranks of management.”
From these presentations, participants will gain first-hand insight on emerging trends in a number of fields and learn of the potential avenues of opportunity that exist. Targeting career-oriented students with a desire to succeed, the management program at SJC advances careers to the highest levels of the business world. The M.S. in Management/E.M.B.A./M.B.A. in Health Care Management programs are for working adults holding leadership positions in the public service, private and nonprofit sectors. The program offers concentrations in organizational management, health care management and human resources management and promotes managerial effectiveness and the enhancement of workplace performance.
