The 2014 Communicator Awards, a leading international creative awards program recognizing creative excellence for communication professionals, has honored St. Joseph’s College (SJC) with seven awards for exceeding industry standards in quality and excellence, including a Gold Award of Excellence for a feature article in SJCNY: St. Joseph’s College Magazine and six Silver Awards of Distinction for writing, design and the College’s website.
With over 6,000 entries received from across the nation and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals. Since 2007, SJC has won a total of 30 Communicator Awards.
“We are very pleased that the efforts of the Office of Print and Digital Communications have been recognized by the International Academy of the Visual Arts,” said Assistant Vice President for Print and Digital Communications Kathleen Carey. “We have a very talented team of professionals that continue to develop innovative ways to communicate the message of St. Joseph’s College.”
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA). The IAVA is an invitation-only member-based organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to promoting the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Entries are judged on their merits against a standard of excellence based on the 20-year history of the Communicator Awards.
