SJC Named to Forbes Magazine’s America’s Best Colleges Issue

BROOKLYN AND PATCHOGUE, N.Y. September 9, 2009 St. Joseph's College is pleased to announce it has been named to Forbes Magazine's "Americas Best Colleges online issue for the second consecutive year.

Maintaining its overall high ranking of 13 in New York State, St. Josephs College offers the lowest tuition of all private Colleges on Long Island and is one of the most affordable private institutions in the tri-state area.

"We are delighted to be recognized, yet again, by this very prestigious publication as one of the nations best colleges, said Theresa LaRocca Meyer, vice president for enrollment management. Criteria for ranking by Forbes Magazine is based on the average student debt at graduation, percentage of students graduating in four years and the number of students or faculty who win national competitive awards.

St. Josephs College was also recently ranked for the eighth consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report to its top-tier of "Northern Comprehensive Colleges Bachelors category, receiving a tie-ranking of 17 with Endicott College for 2010.
