Timothy Nolan received his bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Molloy College. He joined St. Joseph’s University, New York and has been teaching Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Administration courses at St. Joseph's University, New York since 2012.

His vast law enforcement career has spanned almost 25 years. He has served with the New York City Police Department and the Village of Freeport Police Department. During his time with the Village of Freeport, he has been a board member of the officer’s union, the Freeport Police Benevolent Association, for almost 20 years. During those years, he has held multiple board positions. He has been a Trustee, Corresponding Secretary and the union’s Vice President. During his union service, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, protecting officer’s rights, taken part in numerous arbitration and grievance hearings and responded to critical incidents. In addition, he volunteers his time to give back to the community by taking part in Kiddie Print, Senior Citizen Luncheons, Toys for Freeport Tots among other union programs over his long career.

Tim holds numerous soccer coaching licenses through the United States Soccer Federation and United Soccer Association and trains and coaches numerous soccer teams. He is also a Nassau County umpire who has represented the Nassau County Umpires Association on multiple occasions at the New York State Baseball Championships. He is married and has two children.
