St. Joseph’s College, New York is seeking a Brooklyn based full-time faculty member in the Human Service Department, which includes the B.S. in Human Services and the M.S. in Human Services Leadership. The successful candidate should possess an earned doctorate from an accredited institution and relevant agency experience. Candidates should possess at least a master’s degree in Social Work or related discipline and should have practice experience in the non-profit human service sector. Appropriate candidates will demonstrate strong leadership and administrative skills in addition to human service practice knowledge. The candidate must have the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff, and other constituencies in the college.
Responsibilities include teaching 18-24 credits per academic year with courses assigned during the day, evening, and/or online. An interest and willingness to teach online is required. Additional responsibilities include developing the class schedule for the Brooklyn Department of Human Services, participating in recruitment and retention of students, and working with colleagues to advise and mentor undergraduate students. The candidate must have day, evening, and weekend availability.
