SJC Announces New Certificate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – May 26, 2016 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce its newest offering, a certificate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology that will allow students to develop key specialized expertise in the application of psychological concepts to workplace environments. The new certificate will be offered at SJC Long Island in fall 2016.

Individuals with knowledge of industrial-organizational psychology apply psychological principles to a variety of work–related areas including human resources, employee testing and selection, training and development, and policy development related to work satisfaction, productivity and health. 

The 21-credit certificate includes courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Group Dynamics and Human Resources Management.
