Student Health Insurance

St. Joseph’s College will not offer health insurance for students during the 2016 – 2017 Academic Year.  However, students will still be required to enroll in a health insurance plan or have coverage under their parents’ or family’s plan.

If you are currently enrolled in health insurance through the college, you should call Consolidated Health Plans Customer Service at 1.800.633.7867 or email customerservice@consolidatedhealthplan.com and request a Certificate of Credible Coverage.

Once you have your certificate, and prior to July 15, 2016, you should go to www.healthcare.gov, the Healthcare Marketplace, to find an available health plan in the state where you permanently reside.  If your permanent residence is outside New York State, you should select a PPO plan that offers coverage throughout the United States. After picking your new health insurance carrier, you will be asked to submit your Certificate of Credible Coverage to your new carrier
