First Year Experience

FYE complements the SJNY 100 courses, created and taught by faculty.

It is an extended Orientation Program that facilitates our students’ transition from high school to college and begins the process of engaging first year students in the life of the St. Joseph's community.  Students will explore the University’s resources, support services and campus life, as well as participate in special activities designed to cultivate intellectual, social and civic development.  St. Joseph's University believes that by attending to the academic aspects of college life, along with the social and emotional needs of first year students, our SJNY 100 and FYE programs work together to foster success for all students.
