Quilting Project.
Students and faculty joined together to make "comfort quilts" for children and teens in the Patchogue community. The local police and fire departments carried the quilts in their vehicles to provide comfort to children who were victims of domestic disputes or have had to leave their homes due to a fire. Additional quilts were donated to St. Francis de Sales Parish, which has an outreach program that provides necessary items to needy families in Patchogue. Many of these quilts are also given to babies with AIDS and children in cancer wards. |
