C.J. Kavanagh Receives USCAA National Player of the Week Honors

For the week ending April 8th, Carol Jeanne Kavanagh (Sr. / Queens, NY) was named the USCAA National Softball Player of the Week.
The Lady Bears co-captain helped lead the team to a perfect 4-0 record for the week. Kavanagh batted .563 with a slugging percentage of .938 and an on base percentage of .632. Kavanagh hit 4 doubles and 1 triple while knocking in 6 runs, scoring 8 runs and stealing 5 bases.

Julianne Basmagy Receives HVWAC Rookie of the Week Honors

Also recognized for her solid performance last week, Julianne Basmagy (Fr. / Brooklyn) was named the HVWAC Rookie of the Week and given USCAA Honorable Mention.
On the mound, Julianne went 4-0 with a 2.50 ERA and striking out 26 batters. From the plate, Julianne had an impressive .667 batting average, knocking in 9 runs and scoring 7 while slugging .933 percent.
