Lauren Schirripa Receives USCAA National Player of the Week Honors
 | | Lauren Schirripa | For the second week in a row, a Lady Bear is awarded the USCAA National Softball Player of the Week honors. Following C.J. Kavanagh's receipt of the award, Lauren Schirripa (Fr. / Brooklyn, NY) is recognized as Player of the Week for her outstanding performance for the week ending April 15th.
Lauren is a freshman third baseman from Fontbonne Hall. Last week the leadoff hitter for the Lady Bears had an outstanding week at the plate, batting over .600 with a slugging percentage of .800 and an on-base average of .765. She hit 2 doubles, scored 9 runs, knocked in 3 runs, and drew 7 walks (a category for which she leads the USCAA & AD3I). Lauren was also solid from the corner, recording 11 assists and 3 putouts. Thanks to her efforts, the Lady Bears went 3-1 on the week, improving to 11-8 overall.
