Lady Bears Basketball Announce New Assistant to Staff

The Brooklyn Campus is pleased to announce the addition of Chantelle McCurty (SJC ’04) to the Lady Bears Basketball coaching staff this season. McCurty, a standout player for the Lady Bears from ’02-’04, will assume the role of top assistant coach. “I am thrilled to have Chantelle join our staff,” exclaimed Head Coach Frank P. Carbone. “Chanty was a tremendous presence during her playing days both on and off the court and well-decorated member of many past championship Lady Bears teams. Her leadership skills and overseas coaching experience are sure to be of great benefit to us as we continue in the development of our program moving forward”, added Carbone. Chantelle currently teaches 1st grade at the Manorhaven School in Port Washington, Long Island and will begin studying for her Doctorate in Education later on this year.
