"The Psychology program at SJC offers a variety of classes taught by an experienced faculty. In addition to campus opportunities, two off-site internships provided me with the real life experiences I needed to perfect my skills. The wealth of information I gained fully prepared me to enter a doctoral program." Ann Eckardt Kelly '05. Psy D. Program, Hofstra University.
Our mission is to help our students achieve their goals in psychology and related fields by
preparing them for success in professional training.
We provide a range of useful courses for those who intend to
pursue the varied professions in which knowledge of psychological principals
is fundamental or who merely seek to broaden their personal understanding of human behavior.
Beyond the usual compliment of psychology courses, we offer valuable
experience through internships, fieldwork in clinical
practice and the opportunity to design and conduct research under
professional supervision.
The Psychology department is comprised of two separate components located on campuses in Patchogue and Brooklyn. As these components may differ slightly in their faculty, course offerings, major requirements and events. |
