St. Joseph’s College is dedicated to providing a diverse population of students in the New York metropolitan area with an affordable education rooted in the liberal arts tradition since 1916. Independent and coeducational, the College provides a strong academic and value-oriented education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, aiming to prepare each student for a life characterized by integrity, intellectual and spiritual values, social responsibility, and service. With campuses located in the Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn and in Patchogue, Long Island, the College offers degrees in over 22 majors, special course offerings and certificates, affiliated and pre-professional programs through its School of Arts and Sciences and its School of Professional and Graduate Studies.

St. Joseph’s College has always been committed to providing a strong academic and affordable education to all academically eligible students. The College realizes that many of its students are in need of financial assistance, so in addition to numerous fund raising efforts, each year the College hosts a Dinner Dance and Golf Tournament to raise funds for student scholarships, financial aid and athletic programs.

At the Dinner Dance, the College honors and presents the Distinguished Citizen Award, and the Outstanding Alumni Award to outstanding friends and alumni. Each award is given in recognition of the commitment to education and service. The 25th Annual Dinner Dance took place on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The college honored Peter M.. Rogers, President and CEO of Edwards and Company and Dr. Elizabeth Williams Aurricho '63.

The 18th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Plandome Country Club in Plandome on Long Island. All proceeds to benefit St. Joseph's College athletic programs. For additional information, please contact the Special Events Office at 631.447.3396.
