Sociology Curriculum Requirements
Sociology offers three interest sequences: American Institutions and Social
Policy, Criminology and Criminal Justice and Social Issues and Human Services.
Students may organize their sociology curriculum requirements according to
one of the following sequences.

Certificate In Applied Sociology
The certificate program offers students the opportunity of learning how to
apply social science theories and research methods to organizational needs
and issues and to planning and policy decisions. Field experience will expose
students to occupational positions in formal organizations in which business
and social policies are formed and implemented.

Certificate in Criminal Justice
This certificate is geared towards students interested in pursuing careers
in criminal justice field. The program gives students theoretical and practical
exposure to the system offers them the opportunity to develop applicable skills
in research design and data analysis.
