Commencement Speaker: Roger Tilles, director of The Tilles Investment Company, will be the keynote speaker for the Long Island Campus exercises on Tuesday, May 27 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at 6 PM.

Roger Tilles, director of The Tilles Investment Company, will address the Long Island Campus graduates from both the School of Professional and Graduate Studies and the School of Arts and Sciences. Tilles holds a law degree from the University of Michigan College of Law and was a candidate for the U.S. Congress before starting his own law practice in Washington, D.C. in 1978. Tilles returned to his native Long Island in 1983 and is currently the chair and founding member of the Association for a Better Long Island and the executive vice chairman of the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville. His other cultural affiliations include the Long Island Arts Alliance, the Long Island Philharmonic and Project Understanding, an initiative to bring together Catholic and Jewish teens to partake in a mission to Israel each year.
