Janet Wallach Colloquium |
| Date: |
March 10, 2008 |
| Location: | 12:40 PM. Shea Conference Room. |
| Description: | Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow Janet Wallach will discuss her book DESERT QUEEN on Monday, March 10, during common hour in Shea Lounge. The book is a biography of one of the more fascinating and colorful - but little-known - personalities in the history of the Middle East. A British archaeologist and member of the British colonial government, she traveled through the region during the post-World War I period and is credited with mapping the borders of modern-day Iraq.
You are cordially invited. Feel free to invite students who might have a special interest in this subject.
This colloquium is in addition to Ms. Wallach's lecture which she will deliver on Thursday, March 13, during common hour in McGann, titled SEEDS OF PEACE: TURNING ENEMIES INTO FRIENDS.
Thank you in advance for your support of both events. |
