PATCHOGUE, NY – MARCH 17, 2006 – St. Joseph’s College Lions Club will host a night with comedian Bill Burr, cast member from “Chappelle’s Show,” on April 22, 2006. All proceeds from the two comedic performances will benefit individuals in need in the College community.
The St. Joseph’s College Lions Club offers its members the opportunity to give back to their communities by involving them in local projects to improve upon their neighborhood’s surroundings. Today, Lions Clubs all over the world have expanded their focus to the global community as a whole, with their efforts catering to the challenges that they face on a daily basis, never wavering from their motto of: “We Serve.”
Bill Burr has been seen on Chappelle’s Show, HBO One Night Stand and Jamie Foxx’s Laff-apalooza on Comedy Central. Burr performs his sidesplitting routines in over three hundred shows annually, with a variety of stops all over the nation, including Caroline’s in New York City, the Improv in Las Vegas and the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. Aside from Chappelle’s Show, Bill Burr has been seen on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, “The Late Show with David Letterman” and heard on “The Howard Stern Show.”
Bill Burr will be performing in the O’Connor Hall Auditorium at St. Joseph’s College’s on the Patchogue Campus April 22, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets for both shows are $20 each for St. Joseph’s College students and faculty and $25 each for family and other guests. All seats are on a first come, first serve basis.
