SJC Students To Present Research At Brookhaven National Laboratory
Students To Present Posters Displaying Summer Internship Experiments

PATCHOGUE, NY – AUGUST 7, 2006 – St. Joseph’s College is pleased to announce that five gifted students from its Math and Computer departments will present their summer research posters at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on Thursday, August 10, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The student presenters, all of which have completed summer internships at BNL, are Edward D’Azzo Caisser, Katie Johnson, Jennifer Mabanta, John Zabroski and Rachel Keller. Each student worked closely with BNL personnel, intensely researching experiments in engineering, biology, science writing, applied mathematics, chemistry, physics and nuclear medicine, ultimately creating an abstract and poster to present their specialized study.

The closing ceremony will honor the completion of the summer internship program at BNL and will include a graduate school fair, poster sessions, a symposium and an address from U.S. Congressman, Tim Bishop. For more information, please call (631) 447-3200 or visit www.sjcny.edu.
